June 30 - Glennallen to Valdez

Beautiful ride down to Valdez and back. Weather was mostly sunny except the ass which was fogged in. Had a great lunch on the water at The Mermaid. Rick and I both agreed that today was the best scenery yet. Again cannot post pics as wifi sucks in this campground.

June 29 - Fairbanks to Glennallen

Left Fairbanks this am for Glennallen. Weather was nice but soon turned to cool and drizzle to again turn warm and partly cloudy. The Richardson hiway from Delta Junction to Glennallen is absolutely the best. Mountains on the left and right and streams and lakes everywhere. Wifi was just fixed so maybe some pics tonight!

June 28 - Arctic Circle

Left Fairbanks at 7am headed up the Dalton highway to the Arctic Circle. Stopped for gas at the Yukon river bridge and a large breakfast then proceeded to the circle 70 miles north. The road going ip only had 2 construction stops but was mostly dirt with some gravel...very bumpy but made 45-50 the whole way. Hung around the circle for approx onehour and   then beaded back to fairbanks. All together spent 12.6 hours there and back. Too tired to post pics but promise I will tomorrow night.

Big Shout Out to Bob and the gang from Knoxville

June 27 - Denali to Fairbanks

Uneventful ride up to Fairbanks today except 30 miles out wildfire had road blocked all last night but after waiting 45 minutes they lead us through. Finally saw a moose today but before I got the camera on she was back in the woods. Temp in Fairbanks today was 88 but the camp we choose is shaded and by a river. Sorry no pictures but todays ride was not even close to being pretty. We will head out in the morning for the Arctic Circle which is 340 miles round trip 140 miles of gravel. Should make for some interesting pictures of the Alaska pipeline and arctic tundra plus of coarse the awesome Arctic Circle sign.

Wish us luck!

June 26 - Denali National Park

Spent the entire day in Denali NP. Rode into the park for 15 miles where they make you turn around unless you want to ride the bus further for $115.00...no thanks. Did go to the sled dog park to see the dogs and to watch a demonstration which was a great site to see. All in all I have visited many national parks and this id my least favorite. Nice campground with showers and free wifi. I was lazy yesterday and did not get the pictures off my cameras so will try later tonight.

Big Hello to Monet Beard, Jim Hall, Ron Satterfield, Jerry & Terry and the gang!

June 25 - Willow to Denali NP

Woke up in Willow this morning to blue skies and warm temps. Rode the Parks highway 170 miles up to Denali NP and boy what a surprise. Mt McKinley was in view for half the trip up. For those that do not know McKinley is 20,332 ft high and is normally covered with clouds but not for ole lucky Jim and Rick. No wildlife seen today as high temps have driven then into the higher mountains.

Big Hello to my wife Star who allowed me to take such a long trip.

June 24 - Seward to Willow

Again the Seward hiway from Seward to Anchorage to Willow was just the best mountains, lakes and streams everywhere. Temps today started at 49 and went to 77 with clear skies. Natives are all talking about how warm and clear its been. Camping tonight by the Willow river which has trout everywhere and a few Salmon.

Big Hello to my Harley family back in Nashville...wish you were here!

JUNE 23 - Homer to Seward

Rode from Homer to Seward today. Only 170 miles so took it slow. Stopped at stream and watched people fish for trout several hooked but none landed while we were there. Again the road down to Seward was awesome...mountains and streams everywhere. Again took lots of videos and pictures and will maybe be able to post later when good wifi available. Finally the camp we are in has trees and mountains to camp under...to date all camps have been big gravel parking lots :(

Big hello to Kelly & Cathy Ryan

JUNE 22 - Anchorage to Homer

Started the day late as had to put new tires on trailer at 3,800 miles! The road from Anchorage to Homer is just the best ever. Around every turn is a new snow covered mountain, lake or stream. Took many videos and pictures but not able to post as wifi and old laptop suck. Oh well always time when I get back!

Rick says a big hello to Brandon & Crystal
